You might need a new housemate for a number of reasons: your old housemate is moving out, you want to move out before the end of the fixed term or you need a new housemate to cover the rent increases.
Whatever the reason is, looking for a new housemate can be stressful, especially if you have to pay the old housemate’s share of rent until you can find someone suitable. If possible, try and interview more than one person before deciding on who your next housemate will be.
